My Interview...

I actually volunteered for one of the meme’s. I am being interviewed by the Fabulous Bre of Win or Lose We Go Shopping. Here are her 5 questions for me:

1. How did you and FireGuy first meet?

FireGuy and met first near the beginning of 2000 and he and I have been friends since about 2001. He was Prince Charming…or was that a charming Prince? He is a member of the SCA (The medieval reenactment group I have been telling you about) and when I met him he was currently the Prince. I was new and he was really nice to me. Since he is local and the group is fairly close we got to be friends. About a year ago we found ourselves both in need of a new best friend to pal around with and started hanging out regularly…the rest is history.


2. Tupperware parties or Mary Kay parties?

I’m sure it comes as no surprise that I’m not too girly so I’m going with Tupperware…practical anyway. However, I really like those PartyLite candle parties. I have to limit my attendance or I will buy more than I make!!


3. Who was your very first best friend? Are you still close?

Stephanie S. We met about the 2nd grade when our little brothers became friends in pre-school. It was nice for our parents because they could take turns hosting the sleep over no sibling got left out and the other set of parents had a night off. Stephanie and I grew apart in middle school. We had different interests and didn’t end up with any classes together. She is an artist/photographer now I think. However, her brother was the best man at my brother’s wedding. They are still best friends even though they live many States away. I think that is the coolest.

Not to slight anyone I feel I must now state that my longest friend is Laura. We have been friends since 1987. We can not speek for months and pick up tomorrow like we chatted yesterday. We don’t live in the same town so this does happen…I have to go e-mail her now.

I must also state that my closest friend currently is Magnet Babe. She started me reading blogs (see #5) and is one of the best people on the planet!! Between her and FireGuy I always have someone to talk to about anything and support with everything.

(I have other great friends please do not think the rest of them are any less loved, I gave some highlights)


4. Who is your biggest celebrity crush?

Hmmm…..I have had many over the years…Knight Rider (Shhh don’t tell), MacGyver, Fox Moulder, Captin Malcom Reynolds (Firefly), but currently…hmmm….I don’t think I have a current one. I think I’m too stupid into FireGuy to find another one. (Sappy, I know)


5. What is your favorite part of blogging?

Seriously…It’s reading everyone else’s stuff. Really only blog to be allowed to read your stuff. Ok not quite but I feel obligated to post to “give back” in our blogging friendship.

Worky Work Busy Bee!!

The last couple weeks have been crazy. Other than the week I was down for the count being sick things just haven’t stopped. I had planned to use that week to catch up but at least I didn't miss the other weekends being sick. It seems like every night after work and teaching there is yet another project that needs to be done. Go here and help with this go there and help someone learn how to do that.

Now it’s my turn!! I have some projects and I’m gonna get a chance to work on them this weekend. I’m going to get up early tomorrow and either run before work or after depending on if FireGuy wants to go with me or not. Or maybe I’ll just go in the morning at the gym because it has now been a few weeks again after being sick and I will be sucking wind so since the first one back is the worst maybe I’ll go suffer by myself. :)

This weekend I would like to hang the light fixture I got awhile back for the bathroom and I need to borrow my friends lawn mower and do the yard. I think this will feel great to get done. I have felt really behind around the house.
